Perhaps the question comes as breathing is the most common phenomenon in life, what’s there to learn. The fact of life is we all breathe just unconsciously as a natural process and a slight insight can yield a lot even from breathing.
Let us start with posture. You may sit or stand as you feel comfortable. In the beginning, we advise you just try relaxing. The problem comes up even when we relax, physically, our mind hardly cools down. It flies around the world and we start thinking on the tensions and emotions come in the front. If we want to take the most out of breathing, we need be aloof from them.
It mind sound absurd to you, but let us tell you, it requires only practice.
Once you are comfortable with your gesture and posture, try to become conscious about your breathing.
The rule is simply inhale, hold and exhale. While inhaling, take as much as you can, hold as long as you can and then exhale slowly. Remember the capacity of hold needs to be increased gradually. You can use a ticking clock or even some chants, or rhythmic tunes to measure the time.
We should show respect to the Swedish Proverb, which defines key survival strategy as, “Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less, say more; Love more and more, and all good things will be yours”
And if you still unable to concentrate or loose focus, you can use, the famous gemstone Amethyst, the third eye opener.
